Sean Mullin

Sean Mullin (born January 13, 1975), is an American film director, screenwriter and film producer.

Early life

Mullin holds a B.S. from United States Military Academy at West Point and an MFA in film-making from Columbia University.[1]

Prior to beginning his career as a film-maker, Mullin served as a U.S. Army Officer on active duty in Germany. He finished his service commitment as a Captain in the New York Army National Guard, where he worked as the Officer in Charge of the soldiers stationed at Ground Zero after September 11, 2001. While living in Manhattan, Mullin performed stand-up comedy regularly and studied improv at New York's Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.

Career

Several of Mullin's films have won awards.[2] These include "Sadiq",[3], "Man is a Bridge"[4], and "The 14th Morning"[5] They have also played at numerous film festivals around the world. His MFA thesis film "Sadiq" was a finalist for the "Student Filmmaker Award" at the 2006 MTV Movie Awards.[6]

Mullin has been hired to write screenplays for Academy Award Nominated Director Henry-Alex Rubin (Murderball), as well as singer Britney Spears.

In the Spring of 2011, he produced the feature film "Recalled"[7], starring Seth Gabel, Pablo Schreiber, Bow Wow and Aidan Quinn.
